Identifying and Developing the Potential of Youth in the Contemporary Era: In the Light of Seerah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

Abstract

Youth development is a major global concern in the twenty-first century. While contemporary theories of Talent Identification and Talent Development primarily emphasize academic and professional excellence, they often pay limited attention to character, ethics, and spiritual development. This study explores the Prophetic Seerah as a comprehensive model for identifying and nurturing youth potential. Using a qualitative and analytical approach, it examines the Prophetic principles of talent recognition, character building, mentorship, and leadership development, and relates them to contemporary educational needs. The study concludes that the Prophetic model provides a balanced and practical framework for developing competent, ethical, and socially responsible youth.
